Communities of Practice Integrated Workshop
The NEOSS Communities of Practice (CoP) integrated CoP workshop is an annual event dedicated to expediting and streamlining the execution of CoP strategies and work plans within the Earth Observations (EO) and space communications and navigation domains to foster collaborative synergy among CoPs and translate strategic objectives into tangible actions.
This year, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the collaborative capacity development programme on Earth Observations and tools for enhancing national capabilities in collaboration with the Group on Earth Observations (GEO). The capacity development programme will provide an opportunity for participants to enhance their skills, knowledge and providing insights in leveraging Earth observation data and tools for addressing local challenges. The training session will bring together the EO and space community to learn about innovative EO approaches and their relevance to the country’s priority sectors.
Through the assistance of experts, the workshop and training will explore specific models such as the EO Maturity Indicator to assess and gauge the level of maturity or advancement in Earth Observation (EO) capabilities in various aspects of EO Implementation including amongst others technical infrastructure, data availability, user engagement, and policy support.
